This is a large upper lateral tooth from Carcharocles angustidens, the evolutionary predecessor to the fearsome Megalodon shark. This tooth dates from the Oligocene to early Miocene periods, between 22 and 34 million years ago.
All of my fossils are personally collected from the Charleston, SC area and are completely natural, with no repair or restoration
